Central Michigan University, founded in 1892, is a research-intensive institution that offers programs at the bachelor, master, specialist and doctoral levels. More than 100 undergraduate majors and more than 50 graduate majors are available. CMU performs in the top 17% of all national universities for graduation rate performance rank, according to U.S. News and World Report (2007).
