Marymount University is a private, Catholic university located just nine kilometers from Washington, DC.  Marymount is a student-centered learning community that values diversity and focuses on the education of the whole person, promoting the intellectual, spiritual, and moral growth of each individual. Committed to the liberal arts tradition, the University combines a foundation in the arts and sciences with career preparation and opportunities for personal and professional development, including internships at private and public organizations in the U.S. capital region.  Marymount offers more than 30 undergraduate majors including business administration, biology, nursing, fashion and psychology.   All classes are taught by professors and comprise only 21 students on average.

Marymount students come from across the United States and from more than 70 countries around the world, representing a broad array of cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. International students comprise 8% of our student population and are an integral part of Marymount, providing the campus community with opportunities to learn about the richness of different cultures around the world.

Marymount’s campus is located in a beautiful suburban setting, yet it is just minutes from downtown Arlington, the Washington Metrorail and all the cultural, intellectual, and recreational opportunities of Washington, DC.  In 2010, Marymount will complete construction on two new buildings on campus: a suite-style residence hall and a science-focused academic building featuring state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms.
