Messiah College, founded in 1909, is a nationally ranked private Christian college with a socially, denominationally and politically diverse student body. Our mission is to educate men and women towards maturity of intellect, character and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership and reconciliation in church and society.

According to U.S. News & World Report, Messiah College ranked as the #4 “Best Regional College” in the northeastern U.S., ranked in the top 10 in its region as a “Great School at Great Price”,   was nationally recognized for is service-learning program as a 2010 “Program to Look For”, and ranked as the #3 “top college for soccer fans” in the nation!

There are more than 60 clubs and organizations, including recreational, social, spiritual and professional options. These include the International Student Association/Mu Kappa, African Student Union, La Alianza Latina, Asian Student Association, Black Student Union and the Middle Eastern Student Association. Messiah College has 22 NCAA Division III athletic teams, including several National Championship teams.

Faculty and staff mentor students in their spiritual growth journey, providing a challenging yet supportive place for students to explore their faith and ask difficult questions about life. College ministry options include small group bible studies’ discipleship and prayer groups, chapel worship band, outreach teams and World Christian Fellowship.

The Messiah College main campus is a residential, 471-acre suburban campus 12 miles from the state capital of Harrisburg, providing easy access to major East Coast cities.
